-- John 10:27 - 30
"My sheep hear My voice, and
I know them, and they
follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;
neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has
given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of
My Father's hand. I and My Father are one."
My sheep. God's sheep. God's people. They know Him and follow Him. And He gives them eternal life. If you know God, and follow Him, you will love Him and follow His commands. You will not be lead astray if you keep strong and you follow Him. Which you will not fall away from what you know and what you hold fast to.
If you hold fast to know what you know, you will have the courage not to let go, but to hang on and get closer to Christ. You will have a passion to get deeper with Christ. To know Him more. To hear His voice clearer. And to move on.
-- Romans 8:28 - 39
"And we know that in all things
God
works for the good of those who love Him, who
have been called according to his purpose. For
those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his
Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he
predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he
justified, he also glorified.
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be
against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how
will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring
any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he
that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to
life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall
separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or
famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long; we are
considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor
life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any
powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be
able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Just reread the highlighted part. Especially the part that is in bold . It explains it all there, again.
-- Hebrew 5:9
"And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You."
I don't think I need to say much. I can just point this one out and it says at all, again...
But why take a chance if you have slipped away? Would it be wise to open yourself up into that realm and maybe be wrong? I can't say so for sure. But man, I wouldn't want to live by that chance. I sure want to make sure I know that I know, that I know that I am going to spend eternity with Christ. This lifetime is nothing even close to a millisecond compared to what we are going to spend in eternity.
One chance. One choice. One lifetime. And its forever.
No turning back once the choice has been made.
