"Trust Under God"

written by Zach Wheatley

Why do we worry? We worry way to much. How much is to much? Is there a line that is just to much worry? If so, is it possible to point out where we crossed it?

"Don't worry about everyday life -- whether you have enough food, drink, and clothes. Doesn't life consist of more than food and clothing? Look at the birds. They don't need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are. Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not.
And why worry about your clothes? Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he more surely care for you? You have so little faith!
So don't worry about having enough food or drink or clothing. Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things? Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.
So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today."

-- Matt 6:25

WORRY: To tease; to trouble; to harass with importunity, or with care and anxiety. Persons are often worried with care and solicitude. To be divided or distracted.

Worry produces nothing but problems. (5 of them)

1. Worry keeps you from enjoying what you have. (Matt 6:25)

2. It destroys contentment. ( Phil 4:11, 1 Tim 6:6)

3. It makes you forget what your worth. (Matt 6:26)

4. Worry is assuming responsibility that you cannot handle.

5. worry makes you feel worthless, forgotten, and unimportant.

-- We may just want God to pay the bills but He might just want  to change our pride inside of us.

-- Worry doesn't change anything.

-- Do we enjoy worrying? Why is it that when we get over one worry, another one comes up?

-- Worry erases the promises of God from our mind.

-- Worry is the character of the world, not of a Christian.

-- God's promises are for a reason. Jesus said, "Do not worry." (Matt 6:25)

-- If we seek Him first, all will be added unto you.

-- Don't borrow trouble from tomorrow.

Four things to keep yourself out of worrying.

Presence, Promises, Prayer and Patience.

1. Presence: Claiming God's word over yourself, "I am not alone!"

2. Promises: Recount God's Promises.

3. Prayer: Tell God about it and leave it alone. Don't bring it back up. Give it to Him and don't take it back, its in His hands now.

4. Patience: Wait on God. Don't ruin it and try to fix it before God's time.
